Founded by Ed Lee in 2017, HelloAdvisr is founded on the idea that pricing and monetization is an untapped competitive advantage for transformative companies to drive  growth. 

We combined world-class expertise, deep industry and sector knowledge, and the creative nimbleness of a high-growth startup.

ED LEE

Founder, CEO

Ed draws on global experience working on pricing, monetization, and growth to help companies grow. He has been fortunate to work alongside and learn from leading thinkers and executives to help entrepreneurs and companies accelerate their growth with smarter pricing and go-to-market.

Prior to HelloAdvisr, Ed was a Director of Simon-Kucher & Partners, a global management consulting firm with more than 30 offices worldwide. He advised leadership teams at Fortune 500 and large corporates on pricing, sales effectiveness, and marketing strategy while working in a range of sectors including retail/ecommerce, B2B services, consumer goods, marketplace/platform, and private equity. Previous to this, Ed was a leader in the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy group for LG Electronics Europe where he worked with senior leadership across 14 subsidiaries and 20 markets to develop and implement initiatives to increase revenue and profit growth.

Ed is regularly invited to speak and teach on pricing strategy and entrepreneurship at leading universities including UCLA, Oxford University, University of Southern California (USC), and UC, San Diego. He is also an advisor and mentor at leading startup accelerators including Techstars, 500 Global, Backstage Capital, and the Oxford Foundry. Ed was elected to the Oxford University, Said Business School’s Global Alumni Advisory Council.

Ed received an MBA from Oxford University, double Masters of Science (MSc) from the London School of Economics, and a BA from the University of California, San Diego.

LAURENT HAAGSMA

COO, Head of Europe

Laurent leads HelloAdvisr’s operations and product development, and supports HelloAdvisr clients in Europe. Prior to HelloAdvisr, Laurent was the former Head of Strategy, Receipt Bank (now Dext), a venture-backed fintech software startup (Series-C) and was the Group Revenue Director for The Hoxton Hotel Group. 

Laurent started his career as a strategy management consultant at the Monitor Group, and later with Simon-Kucher & Partners where he conducted pricing strategy, monetization, and growth projects for clients in B2B services, retail, and manufacturing. 

Laurent received an MSc from ESCP Europe and City University.

NICK ZARB

Advisor

Nick, formerly an equity Partner of the world’s leading pricing and growth advisors, Simon-Kucher & Partners, has spent his entire career helping enterprises solve complex commercial growth and monetization strategy challenges.

His track record of value creation means he is a trusted advisor to C-Levels and investor operating partners across the US and the UK. Nick has nearly two decades of strategy consulting experience, spending 13 years of those at Simon-Kucher (4 years as Partner), in the UK, San Francisco and New York, where he fulfilled his dreams of working for some of the most exciting names in software and media, along with other industries from hospitality to logistics to manufacturing.

After concluding that his passion was not serving the needs of large corporates, Nick is now dedicated to advising growing companies where his expertise is sorely needed and can have outsized impact, and frankly, where the work is more fun.

Nick splits his time between London & Mexico City, traveling with his Shih Tzu, Twiglet, in tow.
